ABOUT TRAMONTE PROJECTS

ABOUT TRAMONTE PROJECTS

  • Something shifted when we found out we were expecting our second daughter. It made us want more, not just financially, but in how we spent our time and energy.

It started with renovating our home three months before the due date (not the most relaxing decision), but somehow, the ambition carried through the newborn phase. We began planning our exit from traditional jobs and into something we could build ourselves- literally.

  • While in Sydney, Dan worked with an exceptional carpenter and project manager. This mentor’s foresight on how early decisions impacted the finished project impressed him deeply.

His boss was kind but never at the cost of the job. It was either right or wrong, and that was one of the first times he saw how being nice and being a strong leader could go hand in hand.

He took everything he could from that experience and carried it into how we work today: with intention, care, and pride in our work.

  • Just to be helpful.

The pre-construction phase and even the build itself can be a bit of a shock if you’ve never done it before. There’s a lot of jargon, decisions, and moving parts. We see our role as interpreters: turning ideas into real plans, and technical steps into something understandable.

We want you to feel supported at every stage, not overwhelmed.

  • Dan is passionate about cooking and enjoys baking. However, he has to ban himself from baking because he admits he could eat an entire cake in 24 hours.

  • Dan’s favourite room in a house is definitely the kitchen. He spends a lot of time cooking at home, and having it set up the right way makes it enjoyable rather than a chore. The kitchen can also be a standout showpiece in a build, especially when the design is just right. His second and third favourite spaces are a spacious bathroom and the front entry, he believes that opening the front door and getting the first look into a home can be a truly special moment. Ultimately, Dan feels that the way each room is designed shapes the entire living experience, turning a house into a home.

A man with long hair and a beard, wearing a white shirt and a black cap, sitting at a large wooden table in a modern, industrial-style room with brick walls, hardwood flooring, and black and white framed photographs on the wall. There is a vase with dried flowers on the table and large plants in the corner.
  • Home should be a place of relief- where you close the door and instantly feel safe, comfortable, and far away from everything else.

For us, it’s also a place run by children. There are toys on the floor, little feet running around, and the constant sound of life happening. Some days, we joke that we need another door inside the house- just to hide behind and recharge. But honestly, that chaos is part of what makes it feel like home.

  • Dad and Sophia both grew up on the Gold Coast, and it will always feel like home to them. They enjoy working with the people who live here and appreciate the relaxed lifestyle that draws so many to the area.

  • Recently, work has taken up our weekends; however, when we get a full weekend for ourselves, you’ll find us enjoying coffee, spending time at a park with family, or having a morning at the beach followed by a movie at home. These small moments are where we find the most joy.

  • The short answer? We care - perhaps too much.

If something isn’t right or a detail is off, we'll spend extra time to ensure it’s right, not just okay.

We're not here to rush. We build things that last and feel right from the start.
